The History of Internet Explorer-
Internet Explorer 1. IE 1 was first revealed on August 16th, 1995. IE 1 was made to run on Windows 95.
Internet Explorer 2. IE 2 was released on November 22nd, 1995 for
Windows 95, Windows NT 3.5, and NT 4.0. Later on they released a Mac
version of IE 2 in January of 1996.
Internet Explorer 3. IE 3 was realeased on August 13th, 1996. This
was the first major browser to have CSS support, and was also when the
blue "e" logo was introduced to Internet Explorer.
Internet Explorer 4. IE 4 was released in September of 1997 for Windows 95 and Windows 98.
Internet Explorer 5. IE 5 was released on March 18th, 1999 for
Windows 98 Second Edition and was bundled with Microsoft Office 2000 and
Outlook Express 5.
Internet Explorer 6. IE 6 was released on August 27th, 2001, this
came a few months before Windows XP. Some new features that came with IE
6 are as follows, Media bar, Windows Messenger integration.
Internet Explorer 7. IE 7 was released on October 18th, 2006. IE 7
included tabbed web browsing with both tab preview and management, and a
multiple engine search box. IE 7 is included with Windows Vista and
Windows Server 2008, and is also available for Windows XP Service Pack
2.
Internet Explorer 8. IE 8 was released on March 19th, 2009. The
first public beta was released on March 5th, 2008 and on August 27th,
2008 the second beta was released. IE 8 is supported in Windows XP,
Windows Server 2003, Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows Server 2008
for both 32-bit and 64-bit.
Internet Explorer 9. IE 9 was released on March 14th, 2011. IE 7 is
supported on Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows Server 2008. IE 9
also supports several CSS 3 properties which include border-radius,
box-shadow, and more.
Internet Explorer 10. IE 10 became available on October 26th, 2012
for Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012, it later became available for
Windows 7 on February 26th, 2013.
Internet Explorer 11. ???? It may be coming sooner than we think.

The History of Google Chrome-
Google Chrome was publicly released for
Windows XP and later versions on September 2nd, 2008, this was the
official beta version.
Version 1.0 was released on December 11th, 2008 which was the first stable release.
Google Chrome released beta versions of Chrome for OS X and Linux in December 2009.
Version 2.0 was released on May 24th, 2009. This release contained
mouse wheel support, full-screen mode, full-page zoom, basic
Greasemonkey support.
Version 3.0 was released on October 12th, 2009. This release gave
users the ability to install themes to alter the appearance of the
browser.
Version 4.0 was released on January 25th, 2010 along with the
extension gallery containing over 1,500 extensions. As of February 4th,
2011, the extension gallery featured over 11,500 extensions.
Version 5.0 was announced on May 25th, 2010 and was the first stable release to support all three OS's.
Version 6.0 was released on September 2nd, 2010. This release
contained a few new things, things like, new tab page, merged menu
buttons, form auto-fill.
Version 7.0 was released on October 21st, 2010. This release
contained new options for managing cookies, implemented HTML5 parsing
algorithm.
Version 8.0 was released on December 2nd, 2010. This release
included a built in PDF viewer that works inside Chrome's sandbox for
increased security, improved plug-in handling.
Version 9.0 was released with The Chrome Web Store on February 11th, 2011.
Version 10.0 was released on March 8th, 2011. This release contained
GPU accelerated video, background WebApps, password sync added to
Chrome sync, settings page opens in a tab rather than a dialogue box.
Version 11.0 was released on April 27th, 2011. This release contained HTML5 Speech Input API and an updated icon.
Version 12.0 was released on June 7th, 2011. This release contained
hardware accelerated #D CSS, ability to delete flash cookies from inside
Chrome, improved screen reader support, experimental new tab page.
Version 13.0 was released on August 2nd, 2011. This release
contained instant pages, experimental new tab page, native print
interface and preview.
Version 14.0 was released on September 16th, 2011. This release
contained Web Audio API, additional Mac OS X Lion feature support, sync
encryption for all data, print preview on Mac, validation of HTTPS
sites.
Version 15.0 was released on October 25th, 2011. This release
contained faster print preview, redesigned new tab page, JavaScript
full-screen API enabled by default, inline installation of Chrome Web
Store items by verified sites, Extensions integrated into settings
pages, GPU accelerated Canvas 2D disabled.
Version 16.0 was released on December 13th, 2011. This release
contained multiple profiles on by default, experimental support for side
tabs was removed.
Version 17.0 was released on February 8th, 2012. This release
contained download scanning protection, new extensions API's, improved
history tab, adjustable margins in print preview.
Version 18.0 was released on March 28th, 2012. This release
contained a brighter new tab button, and hardware-accelerated Canvas2D
graphics.
Version 19.0 was released on May 15th, 2012. This release contained
access tabs between devices, reorganized and searchable settings
interface, added better spell check, Web Store link to the bottom of New
Tab page.
Version 20.0 was released on June 26th, 2012. This release contained a new tab button which is bigger and wider.
Version 21.0 was released on July 31st, 2012. This release contained Gamepad API, HTML5 audio/video.
Version 22.0 was released on September 25th, 2012. This release
contained new menu icon (replacing the wrench icon), added support for
TLS 1.1.
Version 23.0 was released on November 6th, 2012. This release
contained manager for site permission control, hardware video
acceleration with 25% more efficient power consumption, new icon for
Chrome Web Store when opening a new tab.
Version 24.0 was released on January 10th, 2013. This release
contained support for MathML, HTML5 datalist element now supports
suggesting a date and time, experimental support for CSS custom filters.
Version 25.0 was released on February 21st, 2013. This release
contained Opus audio support, VP9 video support, Web Speech API,
encrypted omnibox search, disabled MathML support.
Version 26.0 was released on March 26th, 2013. This release
contained improved spell checker, desktop shortcuts for multiple users
on Windows, Asynchronous DNS resolver on Mac and Linux.
Version 27.0 was released on May 21st, 2013. This release contained
resource handling optimized for faster page loads, stop packaging
manifest version 1.0 extensions.

Version 0.1 was the first release of Firefox on September 23rd, 2002.
Version 0.2 was released on October 1st, 2002. This release
contained web form auto-complete, extension management, toolbar
customization, search bar, speed improvements, bug fixes.
Version 0.3 was released on October 14th, 2002. This release
contained image blocking, pop-up blocking whitelist, bookmark changes,
tabbed browsing improvements, size and speed improvements, bug fixes.
Version 0.4 was released on October 19th, 2002. This release
contained improvements to pop-up blocking, improvements to toolbar
customization, address bar gets smarter, themes, bug fixes.
Version 0.5 was released on December 7th, 2002. This release
contained multiple homepages, download fixes, history improvements, size
and memory reduction, stability improvements, better windows

Version 3.5 was released on June 30th, 2009. This release contained
support for HTML5 <video> and <audio> elements, downloadable
fonts, CSS media queries.
Version 3.6 was released on January 21st, 2010. This release
contained support for persona themes, improved JavaScript performance.
Version 4.0 was released on March 22nd, 2011. This release contained
Firefox being available in over 80 languages, uses JagerMonkey, tabs
are now on top by default, turn any tab into an app tab, homepage design
was refreshed, support for the new proposed Audio Data API, CSS
transitions are partially supported, support for more HTML5 form
controls, web authors can get touch events from Firefox users on Windows
7 machines.
Version 5.0 was released on April 28th, 2011. This release contained
stability and security improvements, better tuned HTTP idle connection
logic, improved canvas, JavaScript, memory, and networking performance,
improved spell checking, improved desktop integration for Linux users.
Version 5.0.1 was released on July 11th, 2011. This release
contained a fix for an issue in Mac OX X 10.7 that could cause Firefox
to crash.
Version 6.0 was released on August 16, 2011. This release contained
address bar now highlights the domain of the website you are visiting,
added support for window.matchMedia, added Scratchpad, improved
usability of the web console, reduced browser startup time when using
Panorama, fixed stability issues.
Version 7.0 was released on September 27th, 2011. This release
contained improved memory handling for use cases, added support for
text-overflow, added support for the web timing specification, enhanced
support for MathMl, fixed stability issues.
Version 8.0 was released on November 8th, 2011. This release
contained add-ons installed by third-party programs are now disabled by
default, added Twitter to the search bar, added support for HTML5
context menus, improved CSS hyphen support for many languages, improved
WebSocket support, fixed stability issues.
Version 9.0 was released on December 20th, 2011. This release
contained improved theme integration for Mac OS X Lion, added support
for the font-stretch CSS property, improved standards support for HTML5,
MathML, and CSS, fixed stability issues.
Version 10.0 was released on January 31st, 2012. This release
contained CSS3 3D-Transforms are now supported, most add-ons are now
compatible with new versions of Firefox by default.
Version 11.0 was released on March 13th, 2012. This release
contained migration of settings from Google Chrome, SPDY protocol
support, page inspector Tilt, sync add-ons, style editor.
Version 12.0 was released on April 24th, 2012. This release
contained page source now has line numbers, line breaks are now
supported in the title attribute, URLs pasted into the download manager
window are automatically downloaded, security fixes, bug fixes.
Version 13.0 was released on June 5th, 2012. This release contained
smooth scrolling now enabled by default, CSS turn angle unit is now
supported, default homepage now has quicker access to bookmarks,
history, settings, and more.
Version 14.0 was released on June 26th, 2012. This release contained
Google searches now utilize HTTPS, full screen support for Mac OS X
Lion, improved site identity manager, pointer lock API implemented, API
to prevent your display from sleeping.
Version 15.0 was released on August 28th, 2012. This release
contained background updates, optimized memory usages for add-ons, high
precision even timer, new layout view added to inspector.
Version 16.0 was released on October 9th, 2012. This release
contained initial web app support, no longer supporting MD5 as a hash
algorithm in digital signatures, Opus support by default, Acholi and
Kazakh localization's added.
Version 17.0 was released on November 20th, 2012. This release
contained revision of the social API and support for Facebook messenger,
awesome bar experience with larger icons, Mac OS X 10.5 no longer
supported, fixed page scrolling on sites with fixed headers.
Version 18.0 was released on January 8th, 2013. This release
contained faster JavaScript performance via IonMonkey, support for
Retina Display on OS X 10.7 and up, support for WebRTC, improvements
around tab switching, disable insecure content loading on HTTPS pages,
improved responsiveness for users on proxies.
Version 19.0 was released on February 19th, 2013. This release
contained built-in PDF viewer, startup performance improvements, web
console CSS links now open in the Style Editor, CSS text-transform now
supports full-width.
Version 20.0 was released on April 2nd, 2013. This release contained
security fixes, per-window private browsing, new download experience,
ability to close hanging plugins without the browser hanging, new
JavaScript profiler tool, various <audio> and <video>
improvements.
Version 21.0 was released on May 14th, 2013. This release contained
social API now supports multiple providers, enhanced three-state UI for
Do Not Track, ability to restore removed thumbnails on new tab page,
graphics related performance improvements, implemented remote profiling,
add support for <main> element, security fixes.
Mozilla Firefox runs on the following Operating Systems-
Safari 1 was both announced by Steve Jobs
and the beta was released on January 7th, 2003. The last version of
Safari 1 was is supported by Mac OS X v10.3.
Safari 2 was released a little over 2 years later on April 29th,
2005. The final stable version was Safari 2.0.4 which was released on
January 10th, 2006 for Mac OS X. 2.0.4 was the last version to be
exclusively released on Mac OS X.
Safari 3 was announced on June 11th, 2007. This version would be for Mac OS X v10.5, Windows XP, and Windows Vista.
Safari 4 beta was publicly released on February 24th, 2009 with
features such as the Top Sites tool, Cover Flow, and tabs in title bar.
Safari 5 was released on June 7th, 2010 which featured the new
Safari Reader and a 30% JavaScript performance increase compared to
Safari 4. Safari 5 also included improved developer tools and supports
more than a dozen new HTML5 technologies. 5.1 was released for both
Windows and Mac on July 20th, 2011 with the new function "Reading List"
and a faster browsing experience.
Safari 6 the stable release was coincided with the release of OS X
Mountain Lion on July 25th, 2012 and integrated into the OS. With
integrating it into Mountain Lion it is no longer available for download
on the Apple website or other sources. Safari 6 is not available for
Windows. On June 11th, 2012 Apple released a developer preview of 6.0
with a new feature called iCloud Tabs, this allowed users to sync their
open tabs with any iOS or OS X device running the late software.
Safari 7 was announced at Apple's World Wide Developer Conference
(WWDC) on June 10th, 2013. The preview brought improvements in
JavaScript performance and memory usage along with a new look for Top
Sites and the Sidebar, and a new shared links feature. Safari 7 for OS X
Mavericks and Safari 6.1 for Lion and Mountain Lion are slated for
general release in the fall of 2013.
Safari 6.0 requires a Mac that is running Mac OS X v10.7.4 or later.
Safari 5.1.7 requires a Mac that is running Mac OS X v10.6.8 or any PC
running Windows XP Service Pack 2 or later, Windows Vista, or Windows 7.
Safari 5.0.6 requires a Mac that is running Mac OS X v10.5.8.

Opera is both designed and maintained by Opera Software.
The History of Opera-
Opera was first released publicly with version 2.0 in 1996. This version only ran on Microsoft Windows.
Opera 4.0 was released in 2000 which included a cross-platform core
that facilitated the creation of editions of Opera for multiple
Operating Systems and platforms.
Opera was trialware, this meant Opera had to be purchased after the
trial period ended. Opera 5.0 ended this requirement and became
ad-sponsored which displayed ads to users who had not paid for Opera.
Later versions of Opera gave users the choice of seeing banner ads or
targeted advertisements from Google.
Opera 8.5 was released in 2005, this version ended the
advertisements and they were removed completely. Opera is now
financially supported by revenue from Google which is Opera's default
search engine.
Opera 9.1 was released in 2006 and contained new features such as fraud protection, digital certificate provider, PhishTank.
Opera 9.5 added malware protection from Haute Secure and GeoTruse was replaced with Netcraft.
Editions of Opera were released in 2006 for Nintendo's DS and Wii
gaming systems. Opera for Wii was called the "Internet Channel."
Opera 10.5 introduced a new JavaScript engine called Carakan, this made Opera seven times faster than SunSpider in Opera 10.1.
Opera 11 was released on December 16th, 2010, with features such as
extensions, tab stacking, visual mouse gestures, and changes to the
address bar.
Opera 12 was released on June 14th 2012.
Opera announced on February 12th, 2013 that it would drop Presto engine and transition it's web browsers to use WebKit.
Opera 15 beta was released on May 28th, 2013. Features from previous
versions are no longer present, and Opera Mail has been split into a
standalone application.
Netscape is published by AOL but developed by Mercurial Communications.
The History of Netscape-
The first beta release for Netscape came out
in 1994 and was known at the time as Mosaic. A legal challenge was was
put against the name which led to the name change to Netscape Navigator.
Version 2.0 was released which added a mail reader called Netscape
Mail, this transformed Netscape from a mere web browser to an Internet
suite.
Version 3.0 of Netscape was in competition with Internet Explorer
3.0 but was still the number one browser for the time being. Netscape
3.0 introduced new features such as new plug-ins, background colors for
tables, the archive attribute and the applet element.
Version 4.0 introduced support of certain CSS1 elements, minimal
dynamic font support and the proprietary object element. This version
was quite successful despite the competition from Internet Explorer 4.0
and problems from the outdated browser core.
Version 4.5 was released in October 1998. This version contained
functionality improvements. A month later after the release of 4.5 the
Netscape Communications Corporation was bought by AOL.
Version 5.0 was cancelled as they wanted to develop a completely new program from scratch.
Version 6.0 was released in 2000 and the code was based off of the
Mozilla web browser. When released 6.0 flopped badly as it was not ready
to release and was based on Mozilla 0.6.
Version 7.0 was based off of Mozilla 1.0.1 and released in August 2002.
In 2003 AOL closed down the Netscape division and laid off workers,
Netscape was to still be developed "in house" which meant improvements
would be minimal.
Version 8.1.3 was released on April 2nd, 2007 which included general bug fixes that were identified in versions 8.0-8.1.2.
Version 9.0 was released on October 15th, 2007. New features in this
version were newsfeed support and become more integrated with the
propeller internet portal, it also was able to be available to muliple
Operating Systems such as Windows, Linux, and Mac OS X.
On March 1st, 2008 Netscape was discontinued due to low market shares.
Netscape runs on the following Operating Systems-
Netscape 4.08 requires Microsoft Windows 3.1.
Netscape 6.2.3 requires Microsoft Windows 95.
Netscape 7.2 requires Microsoft Windows 98.
Netscape 9.0.6 requires Microsoft Windows 98SE-Vista.
Netscape 7.0.2 requires Mac OS v9.x-10.0.
Netscape 7.2 requires Mac OS v10.1.
Netscape 9.0.6 requires Mac OS v10.2-10.5.

With Skyfire all content is rendered on
Skyfire's servers using the Gecko rendering engine. Generation 1
contains features such as Adobe Flash. Silverlight, and QuickTime which
are usable without additional plug-ins on your device.
Generation 2 comes with web page text and images are now rendered on
the phone and Flash video is rendered on Skyfire's servers, re-encoded
to a device-compatible video format and then relayed to the phone.
Generation 3 includes more available website support for video that's played on your device.
